John Hedger

Director & Insolvency Practitioner

  • Over 35 years’ experience.
  • A professional advisor on insolvency matters with over 35 years’ experience working within the Insolvency and Corporate Recovery industry having worked for two of the “big four” in the industry (KPMG and EY) and been involved in the Receiverships and Administrations of large national and multinational business.
  • Experiences include working on the receivership of financial institutions such as TC Combs the stockbrokers who were one of the largest independent stockbrokers in London at the time. In addition to large property insolvencies such as Canary Wharf.
  • Corporate Insolvency Assignments, included – Creditors voluntary Liquidations, Compulsory Liquidations, Administrations, Administrative Receiverships, Law of Property Receiverships, Company Voluntary Arrangements, Cross Boarder Insolvency
  • Personal Insolvency Assignments included – Trustee in Bankruptcy, Individual Voluntary Arrangement (including high volume and unique packaged arrangements) and formerly on the Board of The Debt Resolution Forum which was set up to increase the standards within the industry and introduce exams and educational programs for those working within the personal insolvency industry including
  • Been running Seneca Insolvency Practitioners since 2011.
  • Fellow of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA), Member of: Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3), International Association of Insolvency, Restructuring and Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL) and the Turnaround Management Association.

Sarah Gill

Senior Insolvency Manager

  • I am CPI Qualified and JIEB Personal Qualification.
  • I have over 18 years of experience in a wide range of insolvency solutions with the last 15 years being spent at Seneca.
  • I have experience working on all types of corporate and personal insolvency procedures, my role is currently managing the team, together with monitoring the compliance and input on all of the firm’s active cases.
  • In my spare time, I enjoy various hobbies and spending time socialising with my family and friends.

Insolvency Manager

  • I’m currently dealing with several Administrations at various stages, but mainly working on CVLs of various shapes and sizes.  Some relatively straightforward, some more complex requiring more investigations and recoveries.
  • 11 years’ experience, all at Seneca.
  • Civilian Instructor in the Air Cadets twice a week, plus community events/fundraising/camps at weekends. I’m also a qualified canoeing and archery instructor.

  • I currently have my Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI); CIPD level 5 in HRSM; and I am currently working towards my Joint Insolvency Exam (JIE)
  • My career in insolvency commenced on 24 April 2006 working for a firm who managed an IVA portfolio moving on to corporate insolvency in July 2010. I have managed a variety of cases including IVA’s, Bankruptcies, MVL’s, CVL’s and Administrations from cradle to grave covering all aspects of the life of a case.
  • My weekends are usually spent attending music gig’s, listening to live music, playing music quizzes with my family, taking weekends away with my husband and spending time with my family and granddaughter.

  • Passed Introduction to Insolvency Qualification and I am currently undertaking my AAT qualifications
  • My case work is primarily working on CVLs and supporting my colleagues with their cases.
  • I have over 2 years of experience of working in insolvency.
  • I like playing and watching various sports.

Insolvency Cashier & Insolvency Administrator

  • Passed Introduction to Insolvency Qualification
  • Fully AAT Qualified
  • Part-Qualified ACCA and I am currently completing the final strategic professional level exams
  • Responsible for dealing with Seneca’s financial and management accounts.
  • Deals with the cashiering of all the insolvency cases and is also a case administrator on some CVLs & BKYs.
  • 5 years’ experience of working with financial and management accounts along with 5 years of insolvency experience.
  • I enjoy playing and watching multiple different sports and spending time with family and friends.

Trainee Insolvency Administrator

  • Passed Introduction to Insolvency Qualification
  • I am Case Administrator on some CVL’s and support my colleagues with their cases
  • I have 19 months experience working in insolvency
  • I enjoy watching Football, Cricket, F1, Golf and most other sports.
